Instructions. Passenger compartment ventilation is provided through 2 ventilation frames (in the trunk on the left and right in the bumper area) (forced ventilation of the passenger compartment). The air ducts and air flow distribution in the passenger compartments of cars with climate control, the "Komfort" and "Basis" systems are different. From 01.2008, climate control systems equipped with an additional branch pipe for cooling the glove compartment will be gradually introduced. This branch pipe is closed with a plug on cars without a glove compartment cooling system. The following figure shows the arrangement of units and components for the Audi A4, Audi Q5, etc. There are minor differences in the arrangement of units/components from this figure.

I 1. Defroster deflector / windshield, air duct leading to the windshield. If the intermediate element between the air duct / and the defroster is pinched during installation, this leads to insufficient and irregular blowing of the windshield; 2. Deflector for uniform distribution of air flows (only for vehicles with climate control, "Komfort" installation). On vehicles with climate control, "Komfort" installation, air flows through this deflector; air. On cars with climate control, the "Basis" version installation, the hole in the air conditioner is closed (various versions; air conditioner); 3. Instrument panel with air ducts leading to the defroster deflectors and various instrument panel deflectors. Different designs depending on the climate control version, settings ("Komfort" and "Basis"); 4. Defroster deflector/right side glass; 5. Right front panel deflector; 6. Air duct/front panel with air ducts leading to the defroster deflectors and various instrument panel deflectors. Different versions depending on the climate control version ("Comfort" and "Basis"). The air duct is an integral part of the front panel and cannot be replaced separately; 7. Air duct/defrosting spacer (Basis version). Different versions depending on the air conditioning system version ("Komfort" and "Basis"). If the intermediate element between the air duct/defrosting unit is pinched during installation, this leads to insufficient and irregular blowing of the windshield; 8. Air duct/defrosting spacer (version "Komfort"). Different versions depending on the version of the air conditioning system ("Komfort" and "Basis"). If the intermediate element between the air duct / and the defroster is pinched during installation, this leads to insufficient and irregular blowing of the windshield; 9. Air duct to the right front panel deflector; 10. Air duct to the right front panel deflector; 11. Outdoor air intake. Air comes from the water discharge box; 12. Air conditioner with air intake box. Various versions, depending on the climate control version, settings ("Komfort" and "Basis"); 13. Air intake from the cabin (in air recirculation mode). Air is sucked in from the front passenger footwell under the glove box; 14. Front right footwell deflector; 15. Air duct to the rear deflectors. Different designs depending on the climate control system ("Komfort" and "Basis"). On cars with climate control system "Basis" there is no air duct and deflector in the rear center console. This air duct is fixed to the air outlet openings of the climate control system. The air duct has splines for this purpose. To these splines, if the flap is in an unfavorable position, especially on cars with climate control system "Komfort" it may lead to the fact that in certain positions whistling noises occur. Therefore, the upper splines are covered with adhesive tape during production (gradual introduction of adhesive strips since February 2009); 16. Air duct to rear right footwell deflector; 17. Rear right footwell deflector. Air comes from under the front passenger seat. The rear right footwell deflector can be removed without removing the rear floor mat, just cut the mat crossbar. After installing the footwell deflector, re-attach the crossbar with suitable adhesive; 18. Air duct to the rear deflector of the central console (only for vehicles with the "Komfort" air conditioning system); 19. Air duct to the rear deflector of the central console (only for vehicles with the "Komfort" air conditioning system); 20. Rear central console deflector. Installed only with climate control, "Komfort" version setting (with climate control, "Basis" version setting, the opening in the central console is closed). With rear temperature selection potentiometer "G538". Rear temperature selection potentiometer "G538" is an integral part of the deflector and cannot be replaced separately; 21. Air deflector for supplying air to the feet at the rear left. Air comes from under the driver's seat. The rear left footwell deflector can be removed without removing the floor mat to the rear, you only need to cut the mat crossbar. After installing the footwell deflector, re-fasten the crossbar with suitable adhesive; 22. Air duct to rear left footwell deflector; 23. Front left footwell deflector; 24. Air duct to the "central" deflector of the front panel. On vehicles with climate control, the "Basis" version installation, the central sensor of the supplied air temperature "G191" is installed in this air duct. On vehicles with climate control, the "Komfort" version installation, the hole for the central sensor of the supplied air temperature "G191" in the air duct is closed with a plug (-G191 is not installed here). There is a hole in this air duct. It is because of this hole that whistling noises can occur under certain settings. Therefore, this hole is closed with a plug during production (gradual implementation since February 2009); 25/26. Air duct to the left front panel deflector; 27. Central deflectors of the front panel; 28. Left front panel deflector; 29. Defroster deflector / left side window.
