Removal



AAE, ABK, AAD and AAR engines



1. Set the piston of cylinder N1 to the TDC position.

2. Disconnect the wires and the Hall sensor connector from the ignition distributor.

2. Disconnect the wires and the Hall sensor connector from the ignition distributor.


3. Remove the mounting screws, release the clamps and remove the distributor cap. Check that the rotor is aligned with the N1 cylinder mark on the housing.

4. Mark the distributor installation position on the cylinder block.

5. Unscrew the mounting bolt and remove the distributor. Remove the sealing ring.



ACE Engine



1. Set the piston of cylinder N1 to the TDC position.

3. Remove the protective screen, unscrew the mounting screws and remove the distributor cap. Check that the runner is aligned with the N1 cylinder mark on the housing.

4. Mark the distributor installation position on the cylinder block.

5. Unscrew the mounting screws and remove the distributor. Remove the sealing ring.

Examination



1. Inspect the O-ring and replace if necessary.

2. Inspect the drive gear and replace the distributor if it is worn.

Installation



1. Check that the piston of cylinder N1 is in the TDC position.

2. Check that the tongue on the drive shaft is parallel to the crankshaft axis.



3. Install a new sealing ring and install the distributor in place. Check that the rotor is aligned with the N1 cylinder mark on the housing, and that the marks on the distributor housing and cylinder block match.

ACE Engine



4. Install a new sealing ring and install the distributor in place. Check that the previously made marks match and tighten the mounting screws. Then install in the reverse order of removal.
