Ignition system faults are most often caused by poor wiring connections or short circuits, rather than failure of system components.
If a fault is detected, first check the connecting wires and spark plugs. For a complete check of the ignition system, you must contact specialists.
If misfiring occurs, check the ignition coil, distributor cap, spark plug, rotor, and high tension wires.
To check the primary winding of the ignition coil, check the resistance between terminals 1 and 15 of the connection connector. To check the secondary winding, check the resistance between terminal 1 and the high-voltage wire terminal.
