Cylinder head removal (CAPA)
Drain the coolant. Remove the corresponding chain from the camshaft. Remove the corresponding intermediate tube. Remove the upper part of the intake manifold. Remove the required cylinder head cover.
Left cylinder head: Remove the fuel injection pump timing belt. Loosen nut "1" on the high-pressure pump shaft, using support "3036." Remove the inertial damper.
Remove the high pressure pump toothed belt pulley using the T40064 puller.
Unscrew bolt "1" of the drive pulley of the toothed belt by approximately 2 turns, using counter support "3036" for this.
Remove the drive pulley of the toothed belt using the puller "T10320".
Unscrew the arrow bolts and remove the rear timing belt guard.
Unscrew bolt "2" of the oil dipstick guide tube. "Pos. 1" should not be taken into account.
Unscrew union nuts "2" and "3", release and remove the high pressure line. "Pos. 1, 4" do not take into account.
Remove the tee from the coolant hose "arrow".
Disconnect connector "1" of intake manifold flap motor 2 "V275" "pos. 4". Ignore "pos. 2, 3" and "arrow".
Unscrew the bolts "arrows" and remove the connecting pipe "1" of the exhaust gas recirculation system.
Right cylinder head: Remove the right upper coolant pipe. Loosen union nuts "1...4" and remove the high-pressure lines.
Unscrew bolts "1" and "2" of the engine lugs and the radiator pump of the system. exhaust gas recirculation "V400". Release the wiring harness using the "80-200" release lever "arrow".
Disconnect the coolant line "arrow". Disconnect the electrical connectors to the glow plugs of cylinders 2 and 3.
Disconnect plug "1" of the intake manifold flap actuator motor "V157". Ignore the arrows.
Disconnect the supply "1" and return "2" fuel lines.
Loosen union nuts "1" and "2". Unscrew the "arrow" bolts and set aside the fuel tank. ramp with connected fuel. hoses.

Loosen the cylinder head bolts in sequence. "1...8". Loosen the bolts and carefully remove the cylinder head. Risk of damage to the glow plug rods when installing the cylinder head. Do not place the removed cylinder head with the glow plugs installed on the mating surface, as the glow plug rods protrude slightly beyond the mating surface.
