Window lifters

Caution: When leaving the vehicle, take the key with you to prevent children remaining in the vehicle from getting injured by playing with the power windows or rear window sunshade.

Note: Description of window lifter control via single lock (comfortable opening and closing functions) given in Section 1.

The electric window lifters operate when the ignition is on and for approximately 10 minutes after the ignition is off, as long as at least one front door is not opened. When the main lock is locked from the outside, the window lifters do not operate.

The window lifters are controlled by switches located in the panel of the corresponding door or the driver's door (see illustration 6.1).

6.1. Driver's door window control switches. A - Driver's door window switch; B - Front right door window switch; C - Rear left door window switch; D - Rear right door window switch; S - Passenger window lock switch

To open/close the door window, press/pull up the corresponding switch until you feel resistance and hold the switch in this position until the glass reaches the desired position. If you press/pull up the switch beyond the resistance point and then release it, the glass will automatically go up/down completely. To stop the glass, press the switch again.

At the bottom of the window lifter control unit on the driver's door is a switch for blocking the rear door window lifters (S in illustration 6.1), - use it, for example, if there are children in the back seat. When the lock is activated, the indicator lamp in the switch lights up.

After disconnecting the battery, it is necessary to initialize the electric window lifter drive to adapt the automatic system to the extreme positions of the windows. To do this, continuously pull the switch up until the window is completely raised, then release the switch, pull it again and hold it in this position for about one second.

Sun protection blinds

The rear door windows, as well as the rear window of the Sedan models, can be covered with sun blinds if equipped accordingly.

To use the rear door curtain, pull it out and secure it to the hooks at the top of the door frame (see illustration 6.2).

6.2. Raised rear door sunblind.

6.2. Raised rear door sunblind.

To lower or raise the rear window sunshade, press the button in the center console (see illustration 6.3). Having reached the upper or lower position, the curtain stops automatically. If the ignition is switched off while the curtain is moving, the curtain will stop only upon reaching the extreme upper or lower position. When the button is pressed while the curtain is moving, the direction of movement changes. If the curtain drive is switched on repeatedly without proper pauses, the drive overload protection is triggered, and it will be possible to use the drive only after some time. At an air temperature in the cabin below -5°C, the rear curtain drive is automatically switched off due to a decrease in the elasticity of the curtain material.
