Lighting and switches in the front doors 1. Driver's seat control panel with memory function "E97"; 2. Driver's door opening handle illumination lamp "L108"; 3. Mirror adjustment switch "E43" or mirror adjustment switch with folding function "E168"; 5. Remote trunk lid release switch "E188" (depending on the set.); 6. Removal the mirror position adjustment switch "E43" / "E168"
Turn off the ignition. Remove the armrest. Carefully unlock the "arrow A" latches with a small screwdriver. Press the switch "1" for adjusting the mirror out of the mounting socket of the switch "2" "arrow B".
Installation
Installation in reverse order: When installing, make sure that the strip with the pictograms is inserted before the mirror adjustment button. Press the mirror adjustment switch into the socket until it clicks into place. Install the armrest.
Removal window switches "E512" / "E107"
Switch off the ignition. Remove the armrest. Unlock the clamps "arrow A" with a small screwdriver. At the same time, carefully pull the clamps -3 "arrow B" to the side. Squeeze the window regulator "2" out of the mount "1" "arrow C".
Installation
Installation in reverse order: press the window lift switch until it locks into place. Install the armrest.
Removal the door lock switch from the passenger compartment E150 "/-E198" (center keys, lock)
Switch off the ignition. Remove the front door trim. Disconnect the electrical plug connection "1". Unlock the lock "arrow A" and press the internal lock button "2" out of the door trim "arrow B".
Installation
Installation in reverse order: insert the interior lock switch into the mount, make sure it is fixed. Install the front door trim.
Removal the driver's seat control panel with memory function "E97"
Switch off the ignition. Remove the front door trim. Disconnect the electrical plug connection "4". Unlock the latches "arrow B" with a small screwdriver. At the same time, carefully pull the latches "1" and "2" "arrow A" to the side. Remove the driver's seat control panel with memory function "E97" "pos. 3" from the mount "arrow C".
Installation
Installation in reverse order: Insert the driver's seat control panel with memory function "E97" into the key socket until the latch engages. Install the front door trim.
Removal the doorway light bulb "L108" / "L109"
Switch off the ignition. Remove the front door trim. Disconnect the electrical plug connection "1". Turn the lamp socket "2" to the left and remove it through the door release handle.
Installation
Installation in reverse order: insert the door light bulb into the hole and snap it into place. Install the front door trim.
Removal the control lamp of the SAFE function center, lock "K133"
Switch off ignition. Remove front door trim. Unlock "arrow" clamps. Pull down LED "1" of central lock from door trim "2".
Installation
Installation in reverse order: the new indicator lamp for the SAFE function, center lock "K133" must be connected to the door trim wiring harness. Disconnect the electrical wire and connect with a new electrical wire for the indicator lamp for the SAFE function, center lock "K133". Insert the LED into the central lock until you hear a click. Install the front door trim.
Removal the remote trunk lid release switch "E188"
Switch off the ignition. Remove the front door trim. Disconnect the electrical plug connection "1". Unlock the clamp "2" and push the trim "3" with the remote trunk lid release switch out of the door trim "arrow".
Carefully release the "arrow" latches with a small screwdriver.
Remove the remote trunk lid release switch "E188" "pos. 1" downwards from the trim "2".
Installation
Installation in reverse order: press in cover "2" with the remote trunk lid release switch until the latches lock into place. Install the front door trim.
Removal the door contact switch "F2" / "F3"
The door limit switch is located in the door lock and cannot be replaced separately if it malfunctions.
Removal the front door sill light "W31" / "W32" and a warning light in the front door "W30" / "W36"
Switch off the ignition. Press in the locking lug "1" with a flat-head screwdriver and remove, by prying it off with a lever, the door lock button illumination lamp or, respectively, the threshold illumination lamp "2". Disconnect the electrical plug connection "3".
Door signal light: carefully pry the cover over the "arrow" lamp.
Threshold illumination lamp: unlock the "arrow" clamps and remove the cover "1" above the lamp.
Remove lamp "1" on the back of the door signal light and/or threshold light from socket "2".
Installation
Installation in reverse order: Put on the cover of the door signal light and/or the sill light. Insert the door signal light and/or the sill light into the hole and snap it on the other side.
