Before adjustment, check whether the handbrake cable is correctly routed in the holders. In addition, the adjusting device in the rear wheel brakes must work perfectly. Due to the automatic construction, handbrake adjustment is usually not required, except when changing handbrake cables, brake calipers, brake pads or brake discs. A prerequisite for correct adjustment is a functioning brake system with pedal control, air must be removed from this system.
