Before adjustment check up, whether the cable of a manual brake is correctly laid in holders. In addition, the adjustment device in the rear wheel brakes must work flawlessly. Thanks to automatic construction, handbrake adjustment is usually not required, except when changing handbrake cables, brake calipers, brake linings or brake discs. A condition for correct adjustment is a working brake system with pedal control, air must be bled from this system.
1. Root the rear of the car. Using a spacer, fix the position of the lever on the brake calipers (A=1.5 mm).
2. For clarity, the handbrake lever in the following figure is shown dismantled.

3. Press release button 2. Both snap hooks must engage the cable eyes. Release the button.
4. Apply and release the handbrake three times.
5. In the original position of the handbrake lever, press the release button again. Both latch hooks should engage the eyelets of the cables. Release the button.
6. Remove the spacer on the brake calipers.
7. Check up position of the lever on supports. Gap A between the lever and the stop may be greater than 0 mm, but it must not exceed 1.5 mm.
