Checking work
The car must be on wheels.
With the help of an assistant, inspect the regulator.
Strongly press and quickly release the brake pedal. In this case, the brake force regulator must move.
Attention: It is possible that through the hole in the brake regulator, a protrusion from the remnants of the brake fluid will come out. It does not matter. If in doubt, check tightness. contacting a specialized workshop.
Adjustment
Attention: Before adjusting the brake controller, remove the plastic roller from the bolt and lubricate the steel bushing with VAG A05 126 000 05 grease. Then install the plastic roller back.
Raise the vehicle, the rear suspension is fully sprung.
The brake system must be filled and bled.
Push the lever on the brake controller as far as it will go in the direction opposite to the direction of travel.
Loosen nut -1-.
AUDI 80
Attach the spring -2- between the regulator and the plastic roller without gaps.
Tighten nut -1- to 25 Nm.
AUDI 90
Place a 1.0 mm drill bit between the spring -2- and the plastic roller.
Tighten nut -1- to 25 Nm.
Remove the drill and attach the spring to the plastic roller.
Vehicles with sports chassis
Vehicles with sports chassis sit 25mm lower and have a blue painted shock absorber
Insert a 7.0 mm drill bit between the spring -2- and the plastic roller.
Tighten nut -1- to 20 Nm.
Remove the drill and attach the spring to the plastic roller.
Lower the car.
