Removal
Remove the brake pads.
Loosen the brake pipe union nut without unscrewing it.
Unscrew the 2 bolts securing the working brake cylinder behind the shield.
Installation
Place a rag under the brake shield.
Loosen the union nut and immediately screw it onto the new cylinder by hand. This will ensure a small amount of fluid leakage.
Tighten the cylinder mounting bolts to 10 Nm.
Tighten the union nut with a wrench to a slight force of 5 Nm.
Install the brake pads.
Caution: The shouldered sides of both pistons must face outward.
Remove air from the brake system.
