Withdrawal
Loosen the wheel bolts, raise the car, remove the wheels.
Fully release the brakes. To do this, press the wedge up to the stop through the hole in the brake drum.
Press or knock off the cap with a rubber mallet.
Remove the cotter pin, remove the crown ring, unscrew the nut, remove the pressure washer.
Remove outer wheel bearing.
Attention: The bearing may fall out, place a clean cloth under it. If the bearing is dirty, it should be cleaned with gasoline or lubricated with a special injection grease.
If necessary, remove the brake drum from the trunnion using a universal puller.
Remove the oil seal and inner bearing, if it did not come off with the drum.
Installation
Thoroughly clean the brake drum. Check wear, integrity, dimensional conformity, condition of threads and working surface. Fill the hub with universal grease.
Insert the inner bearing with bearing grease into the brake drum, hammer the oil seal with a rubber mallet. Before doing this, lightly grease the rubber sponges.
Put on the brake drum.
Lubricate the outer bearing with wheel bearing grease and slide onto the pin.
Screw on the nut with the pressure washer.
Adjust bearing play.
Install the crown lock so that the cotter pin can be inserted.
Use a new cotter pin, hammer the cap with a rubber mallet.
Install the rear wheel, lower the vehicle, tighten the wheel bolts crosswise to 110 Nm.
Fully depress the brake pedal several times to bring the brake pads into position.
