Loosen the wheel bolts.
Raise the car. Remove the wheel.
Measure the thickness of the brake disc. In workshops, a special template or micrometer is used for this, since edges are formed due to disc wear. The thickness of the brake disc can also be measured with a regular caliper; for this, plates of a known thickness should be placed on each side. To determine the exact thickness, the total thickness of the pads should be subtracted from the total value.

Attention: Measurements must be taken at several points.
Brake disc dimensions.
If the wear limit is reached, replace the brake disc.
If there are large scratches and grooves deeper than 0.5 mm, replace the brake disc.
