Withdrawal
Loosen the wheel bolts, raise the car, remove the wheels.
Unscrew the 2 bolts -arrows on the right- for the caliper and remove the caliper from the brake disc. The figure shows the front wheel caliper. Remove the 2 hexagon socket head screws on the rear wheels.
If necessary, release the hose from the steering knuckle.
Hang the caliper on the wire hook like this. that the brake hose is not stretched or kinked.
Attention: Do not disconnect the brake hose, otherwise you will have to remove air from the brake system.
If it is necessary to completely dismantle the caliper, disconnect the brake hose.
Caution: Brake fluid is leaking. Drain the fluid into a bottle designed for brake fluid only. You can also suck the liquid out of the tank. At the rear brake caliper, additionally disconnect the handbrake cable.
Crush the brake disc.
Caution: The brake disc must not be removed from the hub by force (hammer blows). Instead, use a regular rust remover to avoid damage to the brake disc. If removal is only possible with strong blows from a hammer or puller, replace both brake discs and the corresponding wheel bearings for safety reasons. Bearings must be replaced in a workshop, as As a rule, only there is a corresponding press.
Installation
To ensure uniform braking, both discs must have the same surface quality. Therefore, it is imperative to replace or grind both discs at once.
At the station, you can measure the runout of the disk. Maximum allowable runout measured on the work surface: 0.03 mm. Maximum thickness tolerance: 0.01 mm.
Check disc thickness.
If present, remove rust from disc flange and hub.
Remove the protective layer from the new disc with a nitro thinner.
Push the disc onto the hub.
Install caliper with brake pads. When doing this, do not stretch or twist the brake hose. Check the free movement of the brake hose in all wheel positions. Connect the handbrake cable to the rear caliper.
Attach the hose to the steering knuckle.
Fasten the front brake caliper with a force of 125 Nm, when using old ribbed bolts, clean the ribbed with a wire brush.
Fasten the rear brake caliper with a force of 65 Nm.
Attention: If the brake hose was removed, connect it and bleed air from the system.
Position the wheel, lower the vehicle and tighten the wheel bolts crosswise to 110 Nm.
Caution: Press the brake pedal firmly several times until strong resistance appears.
If the rear disc was removed, adjust the rear brakes.
Check fluid level in reservoir.
