The air conditioner automatically maintains a uniform microclimate throughout the entire interior space. To do this, the temperature of the air coming through the supply ducts and its mass flow rate are automatically changed (amount of air) and air flow distribution. If necessary, manual adjustments can be made to this automatic process.

The air conditioner automatically maintains a uniform microclimate throughout the entire interior…

The illustration shows the controls for the air conditioner mounted on the center console. The left display shows the temperature and programmed automatic functions, the right display shows the semi-automatic functions.

Recommended all-season typical setting:

After turning on the ignition, set the temperature to 22°C (71° f) and press the key .

This setting ensures the fastest possible creation of a comfortable microclimate in the cabin.

Therefore, it makes sense to deviate from it only if this is dictated by your own well-being.

Governing bodies

- automation (normal mode)

The temperature, quantity and distribution of air are regulated automatically, according to the criterion of the fastest achievement and subsequent maintenance of the desired temperature in the cabin. At the same time, automatic response to fluctuations in the outside air is ensured.

- defrosting - defrosting

Defrosts or defogs the windshield as quickly as possible. Temperature is adjustable. Maximum air supply is provided through slots 1 and 2.

- turning the air cooler on and off - turning the air cooler on and off

To save fuel, you can turn off the refrigeration unit (compressor). However, when the compressor is switched off, the control options are limited while maintaining the required comfort. If the cabin becomes too hot, you can either switch the compressor on again by pressing the corresponding button, or press AUTO to enter automatic mode.

— temperature selection — temperature selection

The cabin temperature can be set between 18°C (64°F) and 29°C (84°F). When the regulator is set to one of the extreme positions "LO" and "HI", the temperature is not regulated. The system constantly operates in the maximum cooling or heating capacity mode.

The temperature display can switch from Celsius to Fahrenheit and back in the following order:

Press and hold the key . Then press the plus temperature programming key.

— fan speed correction — fan speed correction

These keys increase or decrease the automatic fan speed (amount of air). When you touch one of them, the word man appears on the right display. The actual rotation speed is shown by a segment display next to the fan symbol.

When the minus key is pressed while the fan is running at the lowest speed, the system switches off.

To turn the air conditioner back on, simply press any of the following keys: , one of the temperature programming keys or the plus fan key. It is usually not necessary to turn off the air conditioner using the fan key.

- recirculation mode

In recirculation mode, the air supply from outside is blocked, and its volume is distributed in the cabin in a circle. This prevents air contaminated with exhaust gases from entering the car. Driving with the air conditioner in this mode should not be too long.

If the windows fog up, immediately turn off the recirculation mode by pressing the button again or set the software mode for blowing out the windows .

Warning: If you need to temporarily switch off the air conditioning compressor, for example due to excessive engine load, press the air recirculation button again.

Air distributor keys

With keys , and you can change the programmed mode of the air distributor.

It is possible to manipulate these keys separately or in combination. When you press any of them, the inscription "man" appears on the right display.

- air supply to the glass

Unlike the w/ mode, the entire air consumption is realized by supplying it through channels 1 and 2.

- air supply through peripheral grilles

All air consumption is realized with supply through grilles 3 and 4 of the instrument panel and on the raised floor of the body in the rear part of the passenger compartment.

- air supply to the footwell

All air consumption is realized through the supply ducts 5 and the blowing devices under the front seats. If you want to return to the automatic air distribution mode, the corresponding functions are switched off separately or by pressing the button
