On vehicles with a 6-cylinder engine (142 kW), the oil filler hole is located on the left side.

The filler tank is located on the left side of the engine compartment.
Maintaining the correct fluid level in the reservoir is essential for the smooth operation of the power steering and ride height control.
On a vehicle with a ride height control, the oil level depends on the load. Therefore, check the oil level only when the vehicle is unloaded as follows.
Execution order
1. Let the engine run for about 2 minutes, with the front wheels in a straight-ahead position.
2. Turn off the engine and check the oil level immediately.
3. Let the engine run for about 2 minutes, with the front wheels in a straight-ahead position.
4. Turn off the engine and check the oil level immediately.
5. To check, unscrew the cap plug with the dipstick. The fluid level should always be between the "min" and "max" marks. If the level drops to the "min" mark, add branded fluid for hydraulic systems (audi catalog number: G 002 000) and check the system for leaks.
Engine oil consumption is normal. Oil consumption can be up to 1 liter per 1000 km. Therefore, regularly, preferably at each refueling and before a long trip, check the engine oil level. The location of the oil dipstick is shown in the illustrations.

When measuring the oil level, the car should be level. After turning off the engine, wait a few minutes for the oil to drain into the pan.
After this, remove the dipstick, wipe it with a clean cloth and reinsert it into the socket until it stops. Finally, remove the dipstick again and read the readings from its markings.
Marking the oil dipstick
- a - oil cannot be added
- b - oil can be added; it is acceptable if after this the oil is in zone a
- c - you need to add oil: enough so that after this the oil rises to zone b (ribbed zone)
Warning: When the engine is under increased load, such as when driving on the motorway for long periods in summer, when towing a trailer or when driving over mountain passes, keep the oil level in zone A if possible, but not higher.
