With conventional servo control, the power steering is controlled without electronic control.
On vehicles with Servotronic, the electronic governor controls the power steering in response to vehicle speed. In the event of a failure of the Servotronic system, the operation of the power steering is maintained. However, the amplification efficiency is no longer adjusted according to the driving speed. Failure of the electronic governor is most clearly recognized by an unusual increase in effort on the steering wheel when maneuvering (for example, when driving into a free parking space). The fault must be repaired by Audi as soon as possible.
On vehicles with ride height control when a certain degree of loading is reached (when placed in the trunk of about 100 kg of cargo) there is an automatic alignment of the height of the rear of the body above the road.
When loading with the engine off, the rear of the body begins to rise only after it is started. The final height adjustment is carried out in the process of movement.
