Underhood space: terminals for connecting jumper cables and a charger.
Starting the engine from the battery of another car: A - discharged battery, B - current-supplying battery.
Both jumper cables must be connected in the specified sequence! The jumper cable connections are located under the hood.
Connecting the (+) terminals with a positive cable (red)
Open the red cover of the (+) terminal. Secure one end of the cable to the jump starter bolt "1" (the bolt under the red cover ="positive terminal") of the vehicle "A" being started. Secure the other end of the cable to the (+) terminal "2" of the battery "B".
Connecting the (-) terminals with a negative cable (black)
Attach one end of the cable to the (-) terminal "3" of the current-discharging battery "B." The other end of the cable is connected to the jump-start bolt "4" (hex bolt ="negative terminal") of the vehicle "A" being started.
Starting the engine
Start the engine of the current-dispensing vehicle "B" and let it idle. Start the engine with the discharged battery "A." If the engine fails to start, stop the starting attempt after 10 seconds and try again after 30 seconds. Once the engine starts, disconnect both cables, following the exact reverse order. Close the red cover on the (+) terminal. Your car's battery is equipped with an external ventilation system. The gas generated in the battery is thus removed from the vehicle. Ensure sufficient metallic contact between the connected terminal clamps.
