Rear repair. brake calipers, el. mechan. parking brakes (ERB)
1. Self-locking bolt: 35 Nm; must be replaced; when removing and installing, it is necessary to hold the guide pins from turning.
2. Brake housing. calipers with electric motor.
3. Bleed nipple (air bleed valve): 10 Nm.
4. Cap: placed on the bleed nipple.
5. Sealing ring.
6. Automatic adjustment mechanism running nut: operates the parking brake. brake.
7. Piston.
8. Guide pin: lubricate before installing the sealing cuff; supplied as a spare part with sufficient lubricant.
9. Protective cap: placed on the guide and fixed in the bracket.
10. Bracket with guides and seal. cuffs: supplied in grease, assembled with guides as a single spare part; in case of damage to the seal. install the repair kit on the cuffs or guides; when installing the guides, use the supplied tube of grease.
11. Sealing cuff: placed with the outer edge on the piston.
Removal
Unscrew the piston as far as possible from the brake caliper. Press the piston out of the brake body. calipers using compressed air. To prevent damage to the piston, install a wooden stop.

Remove from brake. caliper old seal. ring using wedge "3409".

Installation
Install a new seal. ring in brake. caliper. Put on a new seal. cuff on the piston as shown in the figure.

Screw in the automatic adjustment mechanism running nut so that the distance "a" is equal to 15 mm.

Insert the seal. cuff into the brake groove. caliper. To do this, use the wedge "3409". Carefully insert the piston into the brake. caliper. The piston must be rotated. The automatic adjustment mechanism's running nut must fit into the piston grooves, which is only possible in 4 positions.

After the running nut enters the piston, it is necessary to press it until it stops against the brake. caliper. This operation must be performed very carefully to avoid damaging the drive nut.

Turn the running nut clockwise until it stops.

In this case, the rubber seal should fit tightly around the entire circumference of the "arrow" brake caliper.

Press the piston into the brake housing. caliper. The inner part of the sealing lip will enter the piston groove.
