            0
The fuel pump is located in a module, which in turn is located in the fuel tank. As mentioned above, dismantling and installing this module should be done in a workshop. This requires special tools: a 3087 fuel level sensor key and a 3307 fuel pump key.

If you can rent these tools, proceed as follows.

1. Make sure that the tank is not more than half full, otherwise a large amount of fuel will leak out.

2. With the ignition off, disconnect the ground wire from the battery.

3. To equalize the pressure, open the fuel tank cap briefly.

4. Remove the rear seat and unscrew the blind flange cover on the right.

5. Now a four-pin plug connection is visible on the flange. Carefully unlock it and remove it.

6. Remove the supply pipe and, if necessary, the return pipe from the flange.

7. Use key 3087 to unscrew the lock ring. After unscrewing the ring, the blind flange and sealing ring can be removed from the fuel tank opening.

8. Then, on the inside of the blind flange, disconnect the connector (arrow) of the fuel gauge.

9. Insert fuel pump key 3307 through the fuel tank opening and place it against the fuel pump module. Then turn the module approximately 15° to the left, loosen the bayonet lock and remove the module.

10. When installing the module, make sure that the fuel level sensor is not deformed.

11. Be sure to use new seals. Before installation, moisten the flange sealing ring with fuel.

12. During installation, the markings on the blind flange and the tank must match.
