Avoid maximum speed if the vehicle is heavily loaded. Feel the tire: if the tire is warm, then everything is in order with it. Hot tires are a warning signal that indicates low air pressure or damage to the tire carcass. In this case, remove the tires and have them checked by a specialist.
If you frequently drive at high speeds on the motorway, fit tires with a speed category that is one step higher than the category specified in the vehicle's data sheet (e.g. T instead of S).
Make sure that the sidewall of the tires does not scratch on the curb when parking. Curbs and railroad tracks should be crossed at slow speed and only in a perpendicular direction.
How to properly store tires?
After remounting summer tires to winter tires or vice versa, the removed tires should be stored in a dry, cool and dark room. Keep gasoline, oil, grease and chemicals away from tires - these substances degrade rubber.
First mark the direction of rotation and the position of the tires (front right, front left, rear right, rear left).
Remove tires, wash them with water and dry completely. Remove pieces of gravel and other foreign bodies from the grooves of the tread.
Tires with rims are stacked in a lying position, preferably on an old wooden pallet.
Tires without rims should be stored upright. Rotate them from time to time when storing.
Change tires correctly
If there is a spare tire under the cover in the trunk, then this will save you money, provided that the same tires are still on sale. You simply buy the appropriate tire and a new set of axle tires is ready.
Buying new tires can also be delayed by swapping tires on one side of the car each time (while maintaining the direction of rotation, that is, not crosswise!). Tires wear out more evenly. The disadvantage of this method is that when changing tires, you have to change all four tires at once. In addition, with frequent tire changes, it is difficult to notice imperfections in the wheel suspension, steering and shock absorbers.
When changing tires, in any case, pay attention to the fact that tires of the same brand, with the same tread pattern and the same degree of wear are mounted on each axle.
