Engine oil and oil filter - change
It is recommended to change the oil once a year if the mileage is less than 15,000 km. With a higher mileage - every 15,000 km of run.
To change the oil you need:
- A) motor.oil of the corresponding specification,
- b) new gasket for the drain plug,
- V) fuel filter according to engine type (056115561 G - for 4-cylinder engines, 035115561 - for 5-cylinder engines and 034115561 A - for six-cylinder engines, 028115561 - for diesel engines)
- G) container for collecting used oil,
- d) wrench to remove the oil filter.
1. Install the car on the goats in a horizontal position or in a viewing hole.
2. Remove the engine mudguard.
3. Place a container under the drain hole in the pan to collect the used oil.
4. Unscrew the drain plug with a crochet wrench and drain the oil.
5. Place a container under the oil filter to collect the oil.
6. Remove the oil filter using an oil filter wrench. If the filter is difficult to pierce, then punch it from the side with a screwdriver, and then remove it with a screwdriver.
Attention! Be careful. The oil is hot!
7. Lubricate the O-ring of the new oil filter with a thin layer of grease.
Attention! Do not oil the ring. When checking for tightness, the oil that comes out can be mistaken for leakage of engine oil.
8. Screw in the filter by hand.
9. Wipe the drain plug and screw it into place, installing a new o-ring.
10. Fill with new engine oil.
11. Start the engine and visually check the system for leaks.
Condensate drain. Vehicles with diesel engines
12. Remove the vent plug at the top of the filter.
13. Loosen the clamps of the inlet and return hoses on the fuel filter. The tie-down straps can be loosened with a small screwdriver to widen the lug. The same clamps can be used again by squeezing the eye with side cutters. We recommend installing new clamping collars.
14. Turn away a nut of fastening iya of the filter.
15. Pull the filter out of the holder by pushing upwards. For TDI engines, to do this, disconnect the plug of the condensate level sensor.
16. Place a container for condensate under the fuel filter.
17. Unscrew the condensate drain plug at the bottom of the fuel filter by hand. Be careful. The screw plug is quite fragile. For TDI engines, instead of a plug, a condensate level sensor is screwed in.
18. Drain the condensate (it is approximately 100 cmW). Continue this procedure until clean fuel comes out of the drain hole.
19. Screw in the vent and drain plugs.
Fuel filter - replacement
20. TDI engines only. Disconnect the plug of the condensate level sensor and remove the plug from the holder.
21. Loosen the inlet and return hose clamps on the fuel filter and remove the hoses.
22. Turn away a nut of fastening of the filter and remove the filter.
23. Remove the protective foil from the fuel filter.
24. Disconnect the fuel filter from the mounting flange.
25. Drain the remaining fuel from the fuel filter into an appropriate container.
26. Install a new fuel filter.
27. TDI engines only. Screw the condensate level sensor into the new fuel filter.
28. Operate the starter until fuel begins to flow to the injection pump.
