Withdrawal
1. Put the vehicle on jack stands and secure it in a stable position.
2. Turn away bolts of fastening of a wheel and remove a wheel.
3. Substitute a support under the transverse arm on the side on which the shock absorber will be removed.
4. Turn out a bolt of fastening of a bottom of an amortization rack.
5. Turn out four bolts of fastening of top of an amortization rack. At the same time, hold the stand so that it does not fall (see arrows in illustration).
6. Turn out a bolt of fastening of the cross-section lever in the top part of an amortization rack and disconnect the lever.
7. Remove the suspension strut (see illustration).
Installation
8. Fix at first a bottom of an amortization rack, having screwed in a fixing bolt. Before doing this, replace the bolt and self-locking nut with new ones. Do not tighten the bolt.
9. Fix the top of the suspension strut by tightening the bolts with a torque of 55 Nm.
10. Fix on an amortization rack the top cross-section lever. At the same time, do not tighten the mounting bolt. Before installing the transverse lever, replace the bolt and self-locking nut of its fastening with new ones.
11. Lower the car.
12. Tighten the suspension strut bottom nut with a torque of 90 Nm, and then tighten it ¼ turn (90°). Tighten the upper transverse arm bolt nut to 70 Nm, then tighten ½ turn (180°).
Attention! If the tightening of the suspension strut mounting bolts is performed on a raised vehicle, then the silent blocks will stand with tension.
