Removal



1. Place the vehicle on jack stands and ensure that it is securely supported.

2. Loosen the wheel mounting bolts and remove the wheel.

3. Place a support under the bridge on the side where the shock absorber strut will be removed and simultaneously lift the bridge by approximately 10 mm.

4. Unscrew the bolt securing the bottom of the shock absorber strut (see arrow in illustration).

5. Remove the four bolts securing the top of the shock absorber strut. While doing this, hold the strut so that it does not fall (see arrows in the illustration).

7. Secure the shock absorber strut first at the top, tightening the mounting bolts to a torque of 55 Nm (see illustration 7.5).



8. Screw in the bolt securing the bottom of the shock absorber strut, replacing the self-locking nut with a new one.

9. Lower the vehicle and tighten the shock absorber strut bottom mounting bolt to 240 Nm. If the mounting bolt is tightened on a raised vehicle, the silent block will be under tension.
