Withdrawal
All self-locking nuts, as well as bolts securing the transverse arm to the ball joint, must be replaced with new ones.
1. Purchase new self-locking nuts and mounting bolts.
2. Put the front of the car on the gantry.
3. Remove the transverse arm, choosing the most convenient removal option: with or without a ball joint.
4. Turn away nuts of internal fastening of the cross-section lever.
5. Remove the mounting bolts and remove the transverse arm.
If the bearings of the inner mounting of the lever are worn, then press in new ones instead of them before installing the lever.
Installation
6. Install and secure the transverse arm, depending on the removal option, either on the ball joint or with the clamp bolt on the hub. Do not tighten nuts.
7. Lower the car.
8. Tighten the transverse arm mounting nuts with a torque of 40 Nm, and then tighten them ¼ turn (90°).
Attention! Tightening the transverse arm mounting nuts must be done with the vehicle standing on wheels. Otherwise, the transverse link will be installed with tension.
