Warm up the engine and stop, oil temperature +60°C.
Turn off electrical consumers. The fan should not operate when adjusting
Remove the crankcase ventilation hose from the cylinder head and position it so that clean air is sucked in through it.
Connect the tachometer and CO tester according to the instructions with the engine not running. The air filter remains installed. Connect the CO tester to the measuring tube on the muffler intake pipe in the engine compartment.
Check for the presence of a RPM signal from the TSZ-H key cascade and the operation of the fault lamp on the instrument panel. To do this, turn on the ignition - the fault lamp should light up. Start the engine - the lamp should go out.
Start the engine for about 1 minute, bring the speed to 2000 rpm. To warm up the lambda probe. Then leave the engine to idle.
Check the idle speed. See the chapter for the meaning "Repair characteristics".
If there is a deviation, warm up the lambda probe and check again. Check the intake manifold temperature sensor. Check the vertical position and ease of movement of the pre-throttle. Have the Ecotronic unit checked.
