PS and NG engines - Fully Contactless Ignition (FEI)

Distributor



Direction of rotation of the runner - Clockwise

The order of operation of the cylinders:
  • 4-cylinder engines - 1-3-4-2 (No. 1 from toothed belt drive)
  • 5-cylinder engines - 1-2-4-5-3 (No. 1 from toothed belt drive)

Distributor rotor resistance:
  • Motor 7A - 1000 Ohm
  • All other motors - 600-1400 ohms

Ignition coil



Primary winding resistance:
  • KV engine, and 1.6/1.8 liter engines - 0.52-0.76 Ohm
  • Motors ZA, PS and NG - 0.5-1.5 Ohm
  • Motor 7A - About 0-1.0 Ohm

Secondary winding resistance:
  • KV engine, and 1.6/1.8 liter engines - 2400-3500 Ohm
  • Motors ZA, PS and NG - 500-9000 Ohm
  • Motor 7A - 6500-8000 Ohm

High voltage wiring resistance:
  • Ignition Coil Connector - 600-1400 Ohm
  • Spark plug cap - 4000-6000 Ohm

  • RN - Champion N9BYC or N9YCC
  • DZ, NE, PM, RU, JN, PS, NG, FOR, KV - Champion N7BYC or N7YCC
  • 7A — Champion C6BYC or C6YCC
