The speed control system maintains the set speed.
With this system, any set speed can be maintained, within the limits of engine power/engine braking efficiency, starting at approximately 40 km/h. This eliminates the need to keep your foot on the accelerator pedal, which is particularly convenient on long journeys.
Warning: The speed control system must not be used in high traffic conditions or in poor road conditions (for example, ice, danger of aquaplaning, gravel throw) - risk of accident!
Caution. On vehicles with a manual transmission, when the system is on, do not shift to neutral without pressing the clutch pedal!
Note: When driving on steep slopes, the cruise control system cannot maintain the set speed. The speed increases due to the unladen weight of the vehicle. Therefore, shift to a lower gear in time or brake with the brake pedal.
Speed programming
The current speed must be programmed.
Otherwise, a sharp increase in engine speed is possible, which in certain circumstances can lead to engine failure!

- The car must move at the current speed.
- To turn on the device, move the slider A to the EIN position.
- Press and release button B.
After releasing button B, programming and maintaining the current speed occurs.
Changing the programmed speed
The programmed speed can be changed.
Increase speed
- Move the A-switch to the AUFN position and hold it. The speed increases automatically, without pressing the accelerator pedal.
- Release engine A when the current speed is reached. The new set speed is programmed.
Decrease speed
- Press and hold button B. The speed decreases automatically without pressing the accelerator pedal.
- Release button B when the current speed is reached. The new set speed is programmed.
The speed can be increased beyond the programmed value by pressing the accelerator pedal. After releasing the pedal, the system will adjust the speed back to the previously programmed value.
This does not apply to cases where the programmed speed is exceeded by more than 10 km/h for more than 5 minutes. In this case, reprogram the speed.
Short press of the slider or button
Each short press of the A control in the AUFN direction increases the speed by approximately 1.5 km/h.
Each short press of button B reduces the speed by approximately 1.5 km/h.
Temporary system shutdown
Temporary disabling of the speed control system occurs in the following cases:
- By pressing the brake pedal or
- By pressing the clutch pedal (if available)or
- By moving the A engine to the AUS position (without fixation)
When temporarily switched off, the currently programmed speed is saved in memory.
To reproduce the programmed speed, release the brake or clutch pedal and move the slider A to the extreme left position AUFN.
If the required speed was not programmed at the time of temporary shutdown, it can be programmed as follows:
- On vehicles with a petrol engine, briefly move the slider A to the extreme left position and release it. Then move the slider to the left again to the AUFN position and hold it until the desired speed is reached.
- On diesel vehicles, it is sufficient to move the A-switch to the left to the AUFN position and hold it until the desired speed is reached. When the switch is released, the speed is programmed.
Caution: Only play the programmed speed if it is not too high for the actual driving conditions - risk of accident!
Complete system shutdown
While moving
- Press the A engine all the way to the right to the AUS position (fixed position).
On a stationary vehicle
- Turn off the ignition.
