Cylinder head. Petrol engine 3.0 l ASN

  • 1 - Cylinder head gasket. The number should be facing the cylinder head
  • 2 — Cylinder head. Minimum height: 139.25 mm
  • 3 — Eye
  • 4 - Bolt, 23 Nm
  • 5 — Cylinder head mounting bolt
  • 6 — Intake manifold centering pin
  • 7 - Special screw, 10 Nm
  • 8 — Seal. Replace if damaged or leaking
  • 9 — Lid
  • 10 — O-ring. Be sure to replace it
  • 11 — Crankcase ventilation hose
  • 12 — Ignition coil
  • 13 — Cylinder head cover
  • 14 — Cylinder head cover gasket. Replace if damaged or leaking
  • 15 - Screw, 10 Nm
  • 16 — Rear coolant pipe
  • 17 — Secondary air supply combination valve
  • 18 - Screw, 10 Nm
  • 19 - Seal. Be sure to replace
  • 20 — Sealing ring

  • 1 — Cylinder head gasket. Installation position: The spare part number should point toward the cylinder head. After replacing the gasket, the coolant must be replaced
  • 2 — Eye
  • 3 - Bolt, 22 Nm
  • 4 — Seal. Replace if damaged or leaking
  • 5 — Cylinder head cover gasket. Replace if damaged or leaking
  • 6 — Cylinder head cover
  • 7 — Ignition coil. Removal requires the AUDI T40039 puller
  • 8 - Special screw, 10 Nm. If there is damage or leakage, replace. Tighten in sequence from inside to outside
  • 9 — Cylinder head cover seals. Replace if damaged or leaking
  • 10 — Cylinder head cover seal. Replace if damaged or leaking
  • 11 — Semi-circular seal. If damaged or leaking, replace
  • 12 — Cylinder head mounting bolt
  • 13 — Cylinder head. After replacement, it is necessary to replace the coolant

1. The sequence of unscrewing the bolts is the reverse of that shown in the accompanying illustration: from 8 to 1.

Installation



1. Before installing the cylinder head, turn the crankshaft and camshaft to the TDC position of the piston of the third cylinder.

2. Tighten the cylinder head mounting bolts in the sequence shown in Specifications efforts.

Caution: The cylinder head is removed and installed on a removed engine.
