Withdrawal
Caution: When disconnecting the cables of the airbag system, be sure to follow the safety precautions when handling the airbag, refer to Section General information and security measures.
1. To prevent the head airbag from deploying, turn off the ignition and first disconnect the negative (-), and then the positive battery cables. See Section Replacing the battery.
2. Disconnect facing of a rack And around a rack B, address to Section Removal and installation of facing of a rack And.
3. Detach the D-pillar trim/trim above the tailgate (station wagon) in the B-pillar area, refer to the relevant Section.
4. Remove the seat belt in the front seat, refer to Section Removal and installation of a forward seat.
5. Pull out the lining (1) from the door seal.
6. Detach the cladding (1) at the spring clips at the bottom (2) and at the top (5) And (7).
7. Pull down trim (1) and disconnect from B-pillar.
8. Detach the seat belt (3) from belt height adjuster (4) and remove the cover.
Installation
Caution: Do not press the lock key during installation (6).
1. Insert the seat belt into the belt height adjuster.
2. Slip the buckle with the key (4), without pressing the button, from top to bottom on the release lever (1) height adjuster and at the same time insert the trunnion (2) into the groove (3).
3. Attach the B-pillar trim at the top. At the same time, the locking tabs should be fixed (5) And (7). Follow the correct clearance.
4. Press down the cladding with spring clips (2) and fix.
5. Lay the door seal over the trim on the left and right.
6. Check the operation of the height adjuster: Press and release the lock key. It should return to the top position on its own. Move the height adjuster and lock it. In this case, the regulator must be clearly fixed in each of the five positions. If not, remove the trim and reattach the lock button buckle to the height adjuster.
7. Install the seat belt in the front seat, refer to Section Removal and installation of a forward seat.
8. Attach A-pillar trim and D-pillar trim/trimming above rear door (station wagon) in the B-pillar area, refer to the relevant Section.
Caution: When connecting the battery, there must be no people in the passenger compartment.
9. Remove the tape from the negative battery terminal, connect the positive first (+), and then the negative cable (-) to the battery.
