Removal
1. Open the door and remove the trim, refer to the relevant Section.
2. Press out the clamp (5) and disconnect the cable from the lock.
3. Tilt the sleeve (7) to the right and disconnect the drive rod (1).
4. Unscrew 2 nuts (2) and (4) and remove the lock (3) from the tailgate.
Installation
1. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Tighten the nuts to the torque 21Nm.
Tailgate: Single lock motor
Removal
1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
Warning: Follow the instructions in Section Replacing the battery.
2. Open the tailgate and remove the door trim, refer to Section Removal and installation the tailgate trim (Station wagon).
3. Disconnect the drive rod (3) at the hinge sleeve (4).
4. Disconnect the drive rod (3) from the electric motor (1) (arrow).
5. Loosen the 3 electric motor mounting screws (2) and remove the electric motor.
6. Disconnect the electric motor connector.
Installation
1. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
2. Connect the negative (-) battery cable.
