Unscrew nuts -1,3,5,6- a few turns, but do not unscrew completely. Thus, the functional block of the gear shift mechanism will lower slightly, which will create more convenience for further dismantling. Risk of damage to the gearshift mechanism due to broken mounting brackets, tabs or other parts. Make sure that no parts or objects get inside the gear shift mechanism. If this happens, replace the gear shift mechanism.
Unlock both lugs -2- and -3- -in the direction of the arrow-, slightly lift the cap -A- from the front and hold it in this position. This will prevent the protrusions from locking back into place. Disconnect plug connector from selector lever lock magnet -N110-. Press locks -A- in direction -arrow- and hold in this position. If the latch -A- is broken, the gear shift function unit must be replaced.
Tilt the selector lever lock magnet -N110- -in the direction of the arrow- so that the ball head -1 - comes out of the gearshift control lever. Remove selector lever lock magnet -N110-.
Installation
Install in reverse order. Turn ball head -1 - to the correct installation position. Insert selector lever lock solenoid -N110- from above at an angle into the gearshift mechanism and tilt it from below in the opposite direction -arrow-. The ball head -1- must be completely inserted into the gearshift control lever; if necessary, you can press it with a small screwdriver. Secure the selector lever lock magnet -N110- into the retainer -A-. Place cover -A- onto the selector lever lock magnet -N110- and carefully secure -1...3-. Connect the plug connectors. Before the rest of the assembly, check the operation of the gear shift mechanism. Install the front ashtray.
