Removal and installation the tailgate lock (Audi A3 8L)

Tailgate lock

• 1 - tailgate lock
• 2 - nut, 8 Nm
• 3 - articulated lever. It is brought out through the connecting rod –4–.
• 4 - connecting rod. To remove, disconnect from the locking mechanism –6–.
• 5 - nut, 8 Nm
• 6 - locking mechanism
• 7 - tailgate adjusting element

Removal

1. Remove the articulated lever –3– from the drive rod –4–.

2. Disconnect the drive rod from the tailgate lock.

3. Loosen nuts –2–.

4. Remove the lock.
