Removal
1. Mark the position of the wedge element of the lock with a felt-tip pen.
2. Loosen nuts –2– and remove wedge element –1–.
Installation
1. Install the wedge element of the lock according to the marking and secure it by hand with nuts.
2. Close the tailgate; the lock should lock into place.
3. Adjust the position of the tailgate. The cover must match the contour of the body and have a uniform gap in relation to it, refer to Specifications.
4. Open the cover and tighten the nuts –2– to 8 Nm.
5. Close the lid and check the gap and quality of closing. If necessary, readjust the position of the lid.
