Warning: Before adjusting the tailgate, it is necessary to install a gas-filled stop, refer to subsection Removal and installation of a door of a back.
1. Lightly fasten locking element -1- with nuts -2-.
2. Lightly fasten the adjusting stop -1- at the bottom of the lock cover with the bolt -2-.
3. Loosen the clamping screw -2- and slightly pull out the adjusting stop -3-. 1 - rivet.
4. Close the tailgate -4- and move it longitudinally and transversely in such a way as to ensure an even gap in relation to the adjacent body elements. The tailgate lock must engage in the locking element in the second position. The clearance is specified in the Specifications.
5. When performing this operation, the adjustment stops must be moved to the correct position.
6. Open the tailgate and lightly tighten clamping screw -2- to 2 Nm. To achieve the specified torque, the service station uses a torque screwdriver.
7. Close the tailgate.
8. Adjust the stops -1- from the inside with a feeler gauge so that their distance in relation to the lining of the lock element is 1 mm.
Attention: The adjusting stops -1- must not come into contact with the lock trim when the tailgate is closed.
9. Tighten bolt -2- to 8 Nm.
10. Check clearance, refer to Specifications.
