Removal



1. Remove the tailgate trim, refer to subsection Removal and installation the tailgate trim.

2. Release the lock on the vacuum hose plug –1– and disconnect it from the installation element –2–.

3. Disconnect the drive rod –3–.

3. Disconnect the drive rod –3–.


4. Disconnect the clamps of element –1– (arrow on the illustration) and remove the element downwards.

5. Unscrew the nuts (arrows in the illustration) and remove the locking mechanism –2– from the tailgate.



Installation



1. Insert the locking mechanism into the tailgate and secure it with nuts to a torque of 8 Nm.

2. Insert the locking mechanism from below into the tailgate and secure it.

3. Insert the drive rod –3–.

4. Connect the installation element to the vacuum hose and secure it.

5. Reinstall the tailgate trim, refer to subsection Removal and installation the tailgate trim.
