Warning! When working with devices included in the engine management system, it should be taken into account that the fuel system is under pressure. Before loosening hose connections or opening the test outlet, place a rag over the connection. Then carefully remove the hose or cap to relieve the pressure.
To avoid injury and (or) damage to the ignition and fuel injection system, the following must be observed:
- When the engine is running, do not touch or remove high voltage wires.
- Wires of system of ignition and injection of fuel, including wires of measuring devices, connect and disconnect only at the switched off ignition.
- If it is necessary that the engine rotates at idle speed, but does not start (e.g. when measuring compression pressure), remove the connectors from the injectors and power output stages for the ignition coils. Upon completion of work, contact the workshop to interrogate the fault recorder.
- To avoid damage to the control unit, disconnect and connect the battery only when the ignition is off.
- When towing a vehicle with a faulty ignition system, disconnect the wires of the electronic control device.
