Removal
Note: The lock cylinder must not be removed until this procedure is completed.
14. Remove the steering wheel as described in paragraph 14.
15. Remove the steering column switches as described in chapter 12.
16. Disconnect the multi-pin connector from the lock "contact group" (fig. 16.16).
17. Carefully scrape the locking compound from the mounting screw holes by "digging" the screw heads.
18. Loosen the screws and remove the ignition switch from the housing, removing it from the lock (fig. 16.18, a, b).

Installation
19. Turn the switch runner counterclockwise until it stops and install the switch on the lock, inserting it into the housing until it stops.
20. Clean the threads of both mounting screws and apply a drop of anaerobic sealant. Screw the screws into the housing and tighten securely. Apply a drop of locking compound to the screw heads after tightening.
21. Connect the multi-pin wiring connector at the rear to the ignition switch.
22. Install the steering column switches as described in chapter 12.
23. Install the steering wheel as described in paragraph 14.
