Withdrawal
Note: This procedure requires a spare thin head ignition key. A regular key has a head that contains an immobilizer transmitter or a flashlight, it is too thick for this procedure.
1. Remove the steering wheel as described in paragraph 14.
2. Remove the steering column switches as described in chapter 12.
3. Gently disconnect the wiring connector from the sensing ring (pic. 16.3).
4. Insert the spare key into the lock, turn it to the "On". In this put, a hole for the retainer becomes available.
5. Insert a thin (2 mm) screwdriver until it stops in the latch (pic. 16.5).
6. Holding the screwdriver in this position, remove the lock cylinder by pulling on the key (pic. 16.6).
Installation
7. Insert the key into the new lock cylinder and turn it to the "On".
8. Insert the cylinder into place until the retainer is pushed in.
9. Pull on the key to make sure the cylinder is secure.
10. Connect the wiring to the sensing ring.
11. Install the steering column as described in paragraph 15.
12. Install the steering column switches as described in chapter 12.
13. Install the steering wheel as described in paragraph 14.
