Attention: To avoid damage to electronic components, perform the following work only with the engine off. Switch the plug on and off on the switch, connect measuring instruments, switch measurement ranges.
When connecting the measuring wires, be careful not to damage the sensitive contacts of the multi-pin connector.
The design internal resistances of the devices and the ambient temperatures influence the measured values. Therefore, the given ratings are valid for the VAG 1315 and 1526 measuring devices, as well as for temperatures from 0° to =40°C.
Check the ignition coil.
Remove the lower trim in the left footwell.
Disconnect the plug from the TSZ-H switch by pressing on the wire clip.

Connect a voltmeter between contacts 4 and 2 on the plug.
Turn on the ignition. The measuring device should show the battery voltage (12 V), otherwise find the break in the diagram and fix it.
Turn off the ignition.
Insert the Hall sensor plug into the ignition distributor by pressing the wire clip.
Remove the dust cover from the ignition coil. Connect the voltmeter to terminals 1 (-) and 15 (+) of the ignition coil.
Turn on ignition. Nominal: at least 2 V, after 1-2 sec. should drop to 0. Otherwise, replace the TSZ-H switch. Check the ignition coil so that the sealing mastic does not protrude, otherwise replace the coil.

Short-circuit the ground, the middle wire on the Hall sensor plug with an auxiliary wire. The voltage should jump to 2 V. Otherwise, find the break in the central wire and replace it or the TSZ-H switch.
Turn off the ignition.
Connect the voltmeter to the external contacts of the plug.
Turn on ignition. Nominal: 5 V.
Check for breaks in the wires and contacts between the Hall sensor; if a breakdown is detected, replace the switch.
