1. The procedure is the same as described in Part A, Chapter 14, but note the position of the flywheel/drive plate relative to the crankshaft, as the holes for the mounting bolts are not offset (photo).
2. If the flywheel is replaced on a 20 valve engine, two new ignition timing point pins must be installed. Additionally, it is necessary to adjust the ignition sensor and the engine speed sensor so that there is a distance of 0.50-1.25 mm between the ignition timing point pin and the starter ring gear. Use a feeler gauge to make adjustments.
