Four-speed gearbox with four forward and one reverse gears with synchromesh in all forward gears. All gears of the gearbox, except for reverse, are helical, constant meshing. The gearbox is combined with a differential and final drive. Gear shifting is done by a lever on the floor of the body.
Initially, vehicles with FZ and YP engines were equipped with a type 014 l gearbox.
Since August 1981, vehicles with EP engine have been equipped with gearbox type 014! with index QZ. Since August 1982, a type 014 l gearbox with an index of 7M was used with a modified gear ratio of the second gear (1,789 instead of 1,700).
Since August 1982, vehicles with a DT engine have been equipped with a type 014 II gearbox with the UT index.
Since June 1983, all vehicles, except for vehicles with a DT engine, have been equipped with a type 014 II gearbox with an index of 6V, and for vehicles with a DT engine, instead of a gearbox of a type 014 II with an index of UT, a type 014 II gearbox with an index of 1Y or 5V has been installed.
