Table of contents: Rear suspension springs ↓ Shock absorbers ↓ Reactive bar ↓ Rear wheel alignment angles ↓
Rear suspension is semi-independent, lever-type, with an elastic connecting crossmember, with longitudinal levers welded to the crossmember, with hydraulic telescopic shock absorbers and coil springs and a reaction rod (panhard rod), that takes up lateral loads on the suspension. The suspension arms are connected to the body brackets via rubber-metal hinges.

Rear suspension springs

Number of turns: 11.6.

Spring coil diameter, mm: 86.

Wire diameter, mm - 10.5.

Spring length under 100 kg load, mm: 149.1.

Shock absorbers

Shock absorbers are hydraulic, telescopic, double-acting.

Brand: Water or Fichtel und Sachs.

Reactive bar

Rod diameter, mm:
  • cars with FZ and EP engines: 18;
  • other cars: 20.5.

Rear wheel alignment angles

The rear wheel alignment angles are not adjustable. The rear wheel alignment angles on a loaded vehicle with normal tire pressure and no excessive play in the rear suspension assemblies should have the following values:
  • camber: -1°±20' (-15'±20')*;
  • maximum permissible difference in camber angle between right and left wheels: 30';
  • convergence: 0°20'±20'.

The maximum permissible difference in the toe-in angle of the right and left wheels with nominal wheel camber:
  • vehicles with chassis up to No. FA 024 249: -10'±10';
  • vehicles with chassis No. FA 024 250 and more: ±20'+10'.

* The values in brackets are for vehicles with modified rear suspension.
