
Remove the oil filler neck by lifting the tab "1" and turning the oil filler neck counterclockwise "arrow".

Remove the pipes of the return fuel lines from the injection nozzles, to do this, pull the release bolt up "arrow".

Remove the plug connection "1" of the lambda probe "G39" from the holder and disconnect it. Release the electric wire. Unscrew the bolt "arrow" and remove the bracket of the plug connector of the lambda probe "G39".

Disconnect the glow plug connectors of cylinders 4 and 5. Disconnect the connectors "1...4". Release the wiring harness with the "80 - 200" lever.

For reinstallation, mark the correspondence of the high-pressure lines to the injection nozzles. Loosen the union nuts of the high-pressure lines "1...6" with a 17 mm insert "V.A.G 1331/6" and using the socket wrench "T40055", remove the high-pressure lines.

Loosen the "arrow" bolts of the injection nozzle covers. Pull the covers up and turn them 90°.

Loosen the injection nozzle arrow bolts.

Reinstallation of injection nozzles is permitted only on the cylinder on which they were originally installed. Mark the correspondence of each nozzle to the cylinder. Remove the injection nozzles using the "T10055" puller with the "T10055/1" adapter.

Loosen the bolts "arrows" of the cylinder head cover crosswise. Loosen the bolts and remove the cylinder head cover.
Installation
Reinstall in reverse order. Replace damaged cylinder head cover gasket. If gasket is damaged, replace cylinder head cover bolts. Clean seating surfaces; there should be no oil or grease on them. Tighten the cylinder head cover bolts. Install the injectors, high-pressure lines and the upper part of the intake manifold. Check the fuel system for leaks.
