Unscrew the "arrow" bolts and disconnect the electrical connectors from the ignition coils on the left cylinder head.
Lightly press the electrical wiring harness downwards. Disconnect the electrical connector "3" to the injectors at the rear of the left cylinder head. Ignore "Pos. 1, 2, 4" and "arrows".
Remove the air filter housing. Unscrew the "arrow" bolts and disconnect the electrical connectors from the ignition coils on the right cylinder head.
Push aside the bundle of electrical wires. Disconnect the electrical connector "3" to the injectors at the back of the right cylinder head. Ignore "Pos. 1, 2, 4" and "arrows".
Remove the ignition coils with the puller "T40039". Unscrew the spark plugs with the spark plug wrench "3122 B" check the compression with the compression gauge "V.A.G 1763". The second mechanic should depress the gas pedal and leave the starter running until the pressure on the compression gauge stops increasing.
