2.0 TFSI engines
1. The details of the fuel injection pump installation are shown in the illustrations.
8.1. Fuel injection pump installation details 1. Removable port separation plates; 2. Bushing; 3. Sealing ring, subject to replacement; 4. Mechanical single-plunger injection pump; 5. Fuel pressure control valve; 6. Low-pressure fuel pressure sensor, 15 Nm; 7. 3 fuel injection pump mounting bolts, 9 Nm; 8. Fuel return pipe connection, bolt to be replaced; 9. Fuel supply pipe to the high-pressure fuel pump; 10. Hole in the cylinder head for installing the high-pressure fuel pump; 11. Injectors
2. Wait until the engine cools down.
3. Disconnect the connectors of the low-pressure fuel pressure sensor and the fuel pressure regulating valve (1 and 2 in the illustration). Disconnect both fuel lines, remove the three bolts (arrows) and carefully press the injection pump out of the cylinder head.
8.3. Sensor and valve connectors
4. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of dismantling the components. Use new sealing rings.
Engines 3.2 FSI
5. Drain the coolant and remove the front coolant pipe (see Chapter 3).
6. Remove the upper section of the intake manifold (see Section 4).
7. Remove the bolts (1-4 and 7 in the illustration), and also nuts (5 and 6).
8.7. Fastening of fuel injection pump lines
8. If present, unscrew the bolts and remove the lifting loop.
8.8. Lifting loop
9. Disconnect the connector (2 in the illustration), unscrew the bolts (arrows) and carefully lift the pressure pipes. Remove the fuel injection pump.
8.9. Removing the fuel injection pump
Note: Do not kink the pressure tubes.
10. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of dismantling the components.
