2. Loosen the nut on the guide rod pivot pin until it is flush with the edge of the thread (see illustration 4.9 Chapter 8). If necessary, hold the pin from turning with a 4 mm rod wrench. Press the hinge pin out of the seat using a puller. The two levers of the puller should be parallel to each other at maximum force. If it is not possible to install the puller, remove the brake caliper and secure it to the side, preventing tension on the brake hose.
3. Raise the subframe slightly on the transmission jack, placing a wooden block between them.
4. Remove the bolts (2 and 3 in the illustration) on both sides. If present, unscrew the fastener of the central tunnel crossmember and pull it back slightly. Slightly lower the subframe on the jack, unscrew the bolt (1) and remove the guide rod.
7.4. Guide rod fastening
5. Tighten the nut on the hinge. Then tighten the bolts (2 and 3 in the illustration).
7.5. Installing the guide rod
6. If present, install the center tunnel crossmember. If the caliper was removed, install it.
7. Install the wheel.
