Removal
1. Remove the protective cover of the air filter and air intake ducts, then release the latches and remove the upper cover from the air filter housing (fig. 2.1, a-c). Pay attention to the MAF sensor, fixed on the cover.

2. Remove the air filter element as described in chapter 1A.
3. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the intake air duct from the MAF on the air filter. Disconnect the crankcase ventilation hoses (fig. 2.3, a, b).

4. Disconnect the wiring from the MAF and remove the top cover of the filter from the car. If necessary, remove the MAF from the top cover as described in paragraph 4 or 5.
5. Loosen the mounting bolt and remove the air filter housing from the engine compartment (fig. 2.5, a, b).

6. On non-turbo models, remove the intake air duct between the air cleaner and the throttle body by loosening the clamps (fig. 2.6, a, b).

7. On turbocharged models, remove the air duct between the air cleaner and the intercooler.
Installation
8. Installation - reverse procedure.
