Replacing the air filter element (30,000 km) (Audi A4 B5)

Remove the air cleaner housing shield and air intake duct. Unfasten the fasteners and remove the upper air cleaner cover. If necessary, temporarily remove the charcoal canister purge solenoid valve from the cover (fig. 25.1, e-g). Please note that the MAF sensor is mounted on the top cover (mass air flow sensor).



2. Remove the filter element, remembering the method of its installation (Fig. 25.2).





3. Wipe the air filter housing clean and install a new replacement element.

4. Install the top cover and secure the latches.
