Attention: The idle speed and the CO content must be checked together. They are not adjustable.
Warm up the engine, oil temperature is 80°C.
Turn off all electrical consumers.
Check the tightness of the exhaust system.
Check the lambda adjustment by reading the contents of the fault memory.
Check ignition timing.
Attention: Only connect test devices with the ignition switched off.
Connect the tachometer according to the instructions.
Connect the device for determining the CO content to the measuring socket. The measuring pipe is welded on the exhaust pipe of the muffler and is usually plugged with a blue plug.
Caution: Push the hose of the measuring device firmly onto the socket.
Make sure there are no leaks.
Start the engine and let it idle.
Attention: The radiator fan must not run during the test.
Check the idle speed, it should be: 750-950 rpm.
Check the CO content, it should be 0.2-1.2%.
The content of CO and the number of revolutions of idling is not regulated. If there is a deviation from the required value, check all low pressure hoses for porosity and tightness.
Check the fastening of the injection unit and the tightness of the flange.
Have solenoid valve I checked (grey) activated carbon filter boxes.
Read information from error memory.
Switch off the test devices with the ignition off.
