4-cylinder engine:
In a 4-cylinder engine, the compressor is rigidly connected to the engine. The crankshaft pulley is divided into two halves. For tensioning and loosening, more or less washers are inserted between the pulley rugs.
For tension, unscrew the four fixing nuts and remove the front belt pulley.
Remove the spacers and screw on the pulley half with 22 Nm. When tightening the nuts, turn the crankshaft on the central bolt.
5 cylinder engine:
Loosen two screws -B-.
Tension V-belt, to do this, unlock bolt -A- and screw it in.
Tighten the fixing bolts to 22 Nm.
Loosen tensioning bolt -A- until the distance to the engine block is more than 5 mm. Then tighten the locknut.
Check V-belt tension, repeat adjustment if necessary.
