The V-belt is correctly tightened if the middle of the V-belt pulleys can be pressed in by 5 mm with your thumb. This corresponds to a force of approximately 50 N.
Raise the car.
Remove the lower engine compartment trim.
4-cylinder engine:

In a 4-cylinder engine, the compressor is rigidly connected to the engine. The crankshaft belt pulley is divided into two halves. More or fewer washers are inserted between the pulley halves to tighten and loosen.
To tension, loosen the four mounting nuts and remove the front belt pulley.
Remove the spacer washers and screw on the pulley half with a torque of 22 Nm. When tightening the nuts, turn the crankshaft on the central bolt.
5-cylinder engine:

Loosen the two bolts "B".
Tighten the V-belt by unlocking bolt "A" and screwing it in.
Tighten the mounting bolts to 22 Nm.
Loosen tension bolt "A" until the distance to the engine block is no more than 5 mm. Then tighten the lock nut.
Check the tension of the V-belt and repeat the adjustment if necessary.
Install the lower engine plug.
Lower the car.
