Install a doorway.
Adjustment
Adjustment is made when the marked marking did not give a good installation of the door, or when a new door is installed.
When adjusting the dimensions of the gaps, be sure to maintain the same gap along the entire contour relative to the surrounding elements. In this case, the unloaded door frame at the rear should be approximately 1 cm higher than at the front. The dimensions of the gaps are given in fig. 57-269, see par. 20.
To adjust the gaps, unscrew the bolts -1- and use an Allen key to unscrew the threaded bushings located at the rear until there is no contact with the A-pillar.
Loosen without unscrewing the bolts -2-, then close the door and by moving the door set the gap size a = 5 + 1 mm.
Attention: For unscrewing and tightening the bolt -2, use a bent ring wrench for a diesel injection pump, for example. HAZET 4561.
Fit the door to the contour of the body. In this case, the door grooves and the body groove must match.
Screw threaded bush -3- into A-pillar as far as it will go and tighten bolts -2-.
Tighten bolts to 30 Nm.
To eliminate wind noise, move the door in the longitudinal holes of the fixing bolts. To do this, loosen the bolts -arrows- (pic. 57-265), and close the door. Move the door in or out until its surface is flush with the front fender. The door can be recessed in relation to the edge of the front wing by a maximum of 1 mm.
Tighten bolts to 30 Nm.
At the rear of the door, adjust the position of the latch -1-.
To do this, unscrew the latch so that it can be moved and installed with little effort. Close the door and align. Then carefully open the door and tighten the retainer to 50 Nm. For coupés, tighten the 2 fixing screws to 16 Nm. Additional details shown: 2 - Belleville spring washer, depending on the model 1 or 2 pieces; 3 - plastic washer.
